More About Dr. Murphy

Dr. Murphy was born and raised in Kansas City.

He completed his undergraduate education at Creighton University before attending medical school at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He subsequently completed his internship at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital and his advanced program in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Kansas Medical Center. He went on to sub-specialize in Interventional Pain Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He offers a wide array of interventional pain procedures for the management of chronic neck, back, shoulder, hip and knee pain ranging from epidural steroid injections and radiofrequency ablation to spinal cord and peripheral nerve stimulation.

Outside of Work

Dr. Murphy is a husband and father of two young boys – Thomas and Benny. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, exercising, and is an avid college basketball fan.
