Eric is an orthopedic Physician Associate who has been a member of the KCOA family since 2004.  He assists both Dr. Charles Rhoades and Dr. Lowry Jones with the treatment of patients, specializing in sport and shoulder injuries.

More About Eric Carlson

Since 2004, Eric Carlson has worked at KCOA as a Physician’s Associate.

He assists both Dr. Charles Rhoades and Dr. Lowry Jones with the treatment of injuries ranging from hand/wrist injuries to shoulders, knees and even an occasional elbow and finger. In his role as a professional advanced practice provider (APP), he has the opportunity to interact with all types of people seeking orthopedic guidance and treatment direction. Eric also spends time at Dickson Diveley Midwest Orthopaedics in Olathe, KS, to aid the medically underserved Spanish Speaking community.

He was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas.  He met his wife in PA school at Wichita State University and moved to Kansas City to start a family.

Outside of Work

Eric and his wife have 2 daughters that are involved in all aspects of 4-H. They love the outdoors and blending the city with farm life! Eric has a hobby farm south of the city, and the entire family enjoys riding horses, tending the Kiko goats, and managing the bee hives.
