More About Dr. Badwey

Dr. Badwey was born and raised in El Dorado, Kansas.

He attended Washburn University of Topeka, Kansas where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with departmental honors in both Chemistry and Biology.

After graduating from medical school at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, he returned to Kansas and completed his Orthopaedic Surgery residency at the University of Kansas School of Medicine at Wichita. He then completed an Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Fellowship at The Campbell Clinic in Memphis, Tennessee.

Following Fellowship…

After his fellowship he came to Kansas City and joined the Dickson-Diveley Clinic, now part of the Kansas City Orthopaedic Alliance. Dr. Badwey has been active, not only in the practice of foot and ankle surgery, but also in the education and teaching of Orthopaedic Surgery residents at the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Medicine. He is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Orthopaedics at UMKC and has been the Associate Program Director of the UMKC Orthopaedic Residency Program at St. Luke’s Hospital since 2002.

Outside of Work

Any free time Dr. Badwey has, he spends with his wife and his two Great White Pyrenees.
