Sports Medicine at KCOA
Athletic trainers are an essential part of our sports medicine clinic. If you are ready to further your skills and expertise in orthopedics, an athletic trainer position may be right for you.
Responsibilities for athletic trainers include:
- Taking patients to their room
- Checking vital signs
- Collecting history
- Removing sutures/staples
- Changing bandages
- Casting
- Splinting
- Preparing injections
- Responding to phone messages
- Pulling up MRIs and X-rays
- Assisting physicians and PAs in treatment
