In the beginning, KCOA consisted of three clinics. Each of these clinics was well regarded and respected in their own rights, with their own individual strengths. Together, however, they became something truly special.

Dickson-Diveley Orthopedics was founded over 100 years ago in 1923. Since then, this unwavering orthopedic institution has helped countless individuals with their conditions and injuries.
Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Consultants
Built to help athletes of all kinds, from amateurs to professionals, Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Consultants has a legacy of providing skilled care. Their addition to the KCOA team provided an opportunity to deliver additional cutting-edge sports medicine solutions to patients.

Apex Orthopedics and Sports Medicine
Founded in 1967 (originally as Carondelet Orthopaedic Surgeons), Apex Orthopedics and Sports Medicine had provided patient focused-treatments in KC for more than 50 years. Their patient-centric approach to care has helped amplify the care culture delivered across KCOA.
Still Growing
KCOA is always changing, and that’s one of the most exciting things about our organization. Without meeting new people and collaborating with other doctors and colleagues, a clinic may become stagnant and outdated. We want to innovate at every opportunity, so we never stop looking for new collaborators.
Recently, we’ve partnered with Midwest Orthopedics and Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Clinic of Kansas City. KCOA is now made up of 5 premier orthopedic surgery practices in the Kansas City Metro.
Both of these clinics specialize in a variety of treatments and services. We want to offer our patients the greatest number of options possible. No two treatment plans should ever be quite alike, because no two patients are quite alike.

Our initial trio of clinics is now a larger, stronger entity composed of 5 independent practices brought together to form KCOA. This merging of expert providers only bolsters our ability to treat your musculoskeletal conditions.
