Meet Dr. Scott Ellsworth, an orthopedic surgeon with Kansas City Orthopedic Alliance who specializes in treating disorders of the shoulder. He has a special interest in comprehensive management of rotator cuff disorders as well as shoulder replacement surgery, including reverse shoulder replacement.

Fun Fact

Dr. Ellsworth has lived in all corners of the country and feels he has finally found his hometown here in Kansas City. He has 4 children at home that all inherited his red hair.

More About Dr. Ellsworth

Dr. Ellsworth completed his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University in 2008, graduating magna cum laude.

He then worked with a physical therapy group for a year prior to attending medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. He was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society prior to graduation. He then came to Kansas City and completed his orthopaedic residency training at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. It was during this time that he fell in love with Kansas City and decided to return after completing his fellowship training. He completed a shoulder and elbow fellowship at the prestigious Washington University in St. Louis and returned to Kansas City to join Dickson Diveley.

Outside of Work

Dr. Ellsworth stays busy outside of work hanging out with his family and attending his children’s sporting and musical events. He and his wife enjoy trying new restaurants and traveling when they get the chance. He loves college football and is a diehard BYU Cougars fan. He enjoys most forms of exercise and staying active in his church community as well.
