More About Dr. Santos
Fermin J. Santos, MD is fellowship trained in the diagnosis, rehabilitation and utilization of interventional spine procedures for the treatment of painful spine disorders.
Dr. Santos joined Dickson-Diveley Orthopaedics in 2010, after completing his Interventional Spine Fellowship and the Orthopedic Clinic Association (TOCA) in Phoenix, Arizona. He is fellowship trained in the diagnosis, rehabilitation and utilization of interventional spine procedures for the treatment of painful spine disorders.
Dr. Santos is from Shawnee, Kansas and went to St. Thomas Aquinas High School. Growing up in the Kansas City area has given him a great perspective of all the amazing things this city has to offer. He is married to an amazing wife, and they have four very busy children (including identical boy twins). When not at work he is travelling all over the metro area for youth sporting events. He enjoys travelling to warm climates and finding new local restaurants to try. On his bucket list is taking his entire family to Spain (his mother’s birthplace), so his children can meet his family (and receive a crash-course in Spanish). Dr. Santos is fluent in both English and Spanish.
Dr. Santos is excited to be a part of the Kansas City Orthopedic Alliance. His goal is to try to restore and maintain function, while limiting any permanent disabilities that might results from long-termed conditions. As a spine interventionalist he tries to use use conservative and non-operative treatment options designed to treat symptoms and conditions specifically.
