Dr. Halloran Receives Vitals Patients’ Choice, Compassionate Doctor Awards

Dr. Halloran also received recognition by Vitals as a Compassionate Doctor and an On-Time Doctor.

The awards came from those whose opinions matter most on all three issues – his patients.

Vitals, based in Lyndhurst, N.J., gathers patient comments and reviews online.

Dr. Halloran, who specializes in surgical and non-surgical treatment of foot, ankle and knee conditions, earned his medical degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He completed a General Surgery residency at Rush University Medical Center and an Orthopedic Surgery residency at McGill University Health Centre. He also has extensive fellowship training, completing a Sports Medicine Fellowship at Detroit Medical Center and a Foot and Ankle Surgery Fellowship at Duke University Medical Center.

Throughout his training, Dr. Halloran served as assistant team physician for the Detroit Pistons (NBA), Detroit Red Wings (NHL), Detroit Tigers (MLB) and Duke University men’s soccer team. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Dr. Halloran joins Drs. Brian J. Divelbiss, Danny M. Gurba, Steven T. Joyce, Theodore D. Koreckij, and Mark J. Winston, also of Dickson-Diveley Orthopaedics, as recipients of Vitals awards for 2018.

The Patients’ Choice Award reflects the difference a particular physician has made in the lives of his or her patients. Vitals bestows the honor to physicians who have received near perfect scores, as voted by patients.

The Compassionate Doctor certification goes to physicians who treat their patients with the utmost kindness. Vitals determines the honor based on a physician’s overall and bedside manner scores.

The On-Time and Promptness Award recognizes doctors with consistent high ratings for timeliness of appointments. Vitals grants the honor based on a physician’s overall and promptness scores.

Vitals reported that the national wait time to see a physician runs 18 minutes, 13 seconds in 2018. Vitals On-Time Doctors, meanwhile, averaged a wait time of 13 minutes, 17 seconds.

Each year, Vitals receives millions of patient-reported ratings on various components of their doctor’s care.
