Dr. Reinhardt utilizes multimodal pain management to minimize narcotics after surgery, and he encourages early discharges home so patients can get back to normal life quicker.

Dr. Reinhardt enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, and cheering on Navy football, the Chiefs and Royals.
More About Dr. Reinhardt
A Kansas City native, Dr. Reinhardt served 12 years in the United States Navy prior to attending medical school.
After graduating with merit from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, Dr. Reinhardt attended flight school in Pensacola, Florida where he earned his Naval Flight Officer wings. Dr. Reinhardt then joined a P3-C Orion squadron based out of Hawaii where he deployed multiple times to Iraq during the height of combat operations.
As the Mission Commander, Dr. Reinhardt personally commanded more than 100 combat missions over the skies of Iraq in support of ground forces during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2007 and 2008. Dr. Reinhardt concluded his naval service as an Assistant Professor of Naval Science at the University of Notre Dame in Indiana, where he taught classes in naval engineering, weapons systems, and leadership.
After leaving the Navy…
Dr. Reinhardt attended the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University in Chicago, where he graduated in the top quartile of his class and was inducted as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Reinhardt then returned home to Kansas City for residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
Outside of Work
Dr. Reinhardt is academically active and has dozens of peer-reviewed articles and presentations on orthopedic surgery. His research has been supported with grants from the American Foundation of Surgery of the Hand. In addition, Dr. Reinhardt enjoys spending time with his many family and friends in the Kansas City area as both he and his wife are proud Kansas City natives.
