More About Dr. Knapp
Dr. Knapp has always known that he wanted to be a doctor, and chose orthopedics because it is mechanically oriented and helps people remain active. He chose private practice because it prioritizes patient care at the center of everything we do, and he was drawn to KCOA because of its outstanding reputation for providing high-quality, personalized care and an excellent overall patient experience. Dr. Knapp loves working with athletes (from throwing to contact sports) and tailoring their treatment to get them back to their sport.
His goal is to treat every patient like they were a family member. That means taking the time to discuss and educate them about their diagnosis and focusing on exhausting non-operative treatments as a first-line defense to restore normal mechanics before discussing operative options. Ultimately, he wants patients to return to their desired level of activity, and he tailors treatment to their individual goals.
Outside of Work
Dr. Knapp grew up in Kansas City and is excited to return home to reconnect with and serve the community. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids, travelling, cheering on our Kansas City and KU sports teams, and being outdoors.
