LEAWOOD, KAN. – (March 20, 2015) James P. Halloran, M.D., will be an honored speaker at “Inside the Exam Room: Diagnosing Common Work Comp Injuries,” a lunch and learn hosted by ARC Physical Therapy+. The event will cover how thorough medical exams by expert physicians can eliminate the need for costly imaging and testing, which can save customers millions of dollars each year. The program begins at 11 a.m. on March 24, 2015, at the Overland Park Convention Center, 6000 College Boulevard, Overland Park, Kan.
Dr. Halloran will speak on his methodology for diagnosing common knee, foot and ankle workers’ compensation injuries, including what special tests he uses to guide his exam and diagnosis. Attendees will also hear from orthopedic physicians who treat hip, back and shoulder injuries.
Dr. Halloran’s primary clinical interest focuses on diagnosis and treatment of conditions involving the knee, ankle, and foot. He received comprehensive training from world-renowned experts in total ankle arthroplasty and cartilage restoration at Duke University. Additionally, Dr. Halloran completed fellowship training in both sports medicine and foot/ankle surgery. This unique combination of skills gives Dr. Halloran further insight into the cause of many lower extremity injuries. He has in-depth knowledge regarding bone and ligamentous injuries of the knee, ankle, and foot with extensive experience in arthroscopic and minimally invasive management of these complex conditions.
