Leawood, Kan. – February 16, 2017 – To help patients understand how to safely return to activity after a total knee replacement, Kansas City Orthopaedic Institute is offering a free educational session called, “Total Knee Replacement: Tips for Optimal Return to Activity.” The 90-minute educational event will take place on March 15.
The session is open to anyone who is considering total knee replacement surgery, including those who have already decided to have total knee replacement as well as those who are just beginning to explore their treatment options. Presenters include physical therapists from Kansas City Orthopaedic Institute and a clinical dietitian from HCA, who will discuss nutritional guidelines for effective healing after surgery. Together they will cover a variety of topics related to healing, exercise and resuming normal activities after a knee replacement. More information is provided below, or view the flyer for details.
