LYNDHURST, N.J. – Patients selected Scott A. Wingerter, M.D., Ph.D., board-certified orthopedic surgeon, as a Vitals Patients’ Choice Award winner for 2015.
Patients’ Choice recognition reflects the top 5 percent of doctors nationwide that have made a difference in the lives of patients. The honor is bestowed to physicians who have received near-perfect scores, as voted by their patients.
Based on online reviews collected for more than 6 million physicians, Vitals determined the winners and found the top doctors received an average of 28 reviews, while the average doctor nationwide has eight reviews.
In addition, Patients’ Choice Award winners typically have two more years of experience and see their patients sooner than other doctors. Nationally, the average wait time to see a physician is 19 minutes, 16 seconds. Vitals Patients’ Choice doctors see their patients almost 4 minutes sooner, with an average wait time of 15 minutes, 29 seconds.
“Everyone wants a knowledgeable doctor. And in today’s busy world, people want a doctor who values their time and doesn’t keep them waiting. Vitals Patients’ Choice identifies the physicians who patients value for many reasons,” said Mitch Rothschild, founder and executive chairman for Vitals. “We believe these awards are useful in helping consumers search for and select the best-qualified doctors.”
