- Taking patients to their room
- Checking vital signs
- Collecting history
- Removing sutures/staples
- Changing bandages
- Preparing injections

- Pulling up MRIs and X-Rays
- Assisting physicians and PAs in treatment
To be considered for a medical assistant position at KCOA, applicants must have 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience as a patient care tech, certified medical assistant, or athletic trainer. In addition, you will need:
- Basic computer and math skills
- Customer service skills
- Organizational skills
- Strong time management
- Effective communication skills
- The ability to problem solve and make decisions
