The annual conference brings together local coaches, baseball professionals and other experts to educate coaching staff, parents and volunteers about important league-related information. This year, the lineup of speakers includes Dr. Winston and Kansas City Royals Hall of Famer, Willie Wilson.

As the newest member of our physician care team, Dr. Winston specializes in hand, wrist and upper extremity surgery, as well as sports medicine. He earned his medical degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and went on to complete his internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in Madison. There, he was selected to serve as Administrative Chief Resident and he was recognized by the American Orthopedic Association as an Emerging Leader in Orthopedics.

Before joining Dickson-Diveley Orthopaedics in August 2016, Dr. Winston completed his hand and upper extremity fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery/Weill Cornell Medical College in New York. He also trained with some of the top leaders in hand and elbow surgery.

As an avid tennis player and a former assistant high school tennis coach, Dr. Winston is familiar with the physical demands of living an active lifestyle as well as the importance of specialized care for athletes. During high school, he was a four-time individual state tournament qualifier and ranked number two overall in the state of Wisconsin.
