Physicians in the Kansas City area again named Lowry Jones, Jr., M.D., board-certified orthopedic surgeon, among the region’s “Super Doctors,” placing him in the top five percent of the metro’s active physicians. This is the tenth consecutive year that Dr. Jones has earned this prestigious recognition.
“My philosophy in treating patients is making sure they understand that I care about what’s wrong with them,” says Dr. Jones. “I want to take care of them and help them feel better—and sometimes that’s very simply taking them out of pain or improving their ability to function. My direction in my treatment is always what I can do best for the patient.”
Dr. Jones specializes in shoulder surgery, including shoulder replacement, as well as treatment of knee, hip, back, elbow, foot and ankle conditions. He has developed a large practice around treating work-related injuries. He joined Dickson-Diveley Orthopaedics in 1985 after earning his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine and completing his residency at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
