Physicians in the Kansas City area again named C. Lan Fotopoulos, M.D., board-certified interventional physiatrist, among the region’s “Super Doctors,” placing him in the top five percent of the metro’s active physicians. This is the eighth year that Dr. Fotopoulos has earned this prestigious recognition.
Dr. Fotopoulos specializes in minimally invasive and interventional procedures for neck, back, hip, knee and shoulder conditions. Treatments he commonly performs include epidural injections, radiofrequency ablation, vertebroplasty, kyphoplasty, spinal cord stimulation and sacroplasty, among others. He completed a fellowship in musculo-skeletal medicine at the Washington University in St. Louis, as well as an anesthesiology residency, and a physical medicine and rehabilitation residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Dr. Fotopoulos earned his medical degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine.
Dr. Fotopoulos is certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the American Board of Pain Medicine, and American Board of Family Practice – Sports Medicine. In addition, he is board-certified in undersea and hyperbaric medicine, and is fluent in Italian, Russian, Spanish, Arabic and English.
