Emily Ingenthron, PA-C, is a physician assistant specializing in sports medicine and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R). She is especially focused on lumbar spine, hip, and knee, but ultimately will expand to treating other joints. Emily has been practicing almost 10 years, but is new to KCOA. She works alongside Dr. Michael Khadavi.

More About Emily Ingenthron

A career in healthcare came naturally to Emily, who especially enjoyed human anatomy and has a background in exercise science. She fell in love with the PA profession and believes PAs play a unique role in healthcare, having the ability to spend quality time with patients and establish trusting relationships.

Emily completed her undergraduate studies in Exercise Science at University of Kansas and completed her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at University of Nebraska Medical Center. She prides herself on building trust with the patient, providing clear communication and involving patients in their plan of care. She credits her focus on the patient as a whole person to her background in primary care. She values helping patients return to activities they love and improve their quality of life.

Outside of Work

Emily enjoys spending time with her family, including two young boys. Her hobbies include yoga, dance, water sports, and cooking. You can find her rooting for the KU Jayhawks and Chiefs!
