Emily started and ran a Bone Health Clinic in Atlanta, which became a vital part of the orthopedic department’s effort to prevent repeat fractures and improve long-term outcomes for patients with osteoporosis.

More About Emily Horowitz

Emily earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, TX. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner certification at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

She spent seven years as a trauma and emergency room nurse prior to earning her NP certification, and worked at Emory Healthcare in Atlanta, GA before joining us at KCOA.

Emily says she loves working in orthopedics because it’s a specialty where one can truly see the impact that has been made—patients come in with pain, immobility or an acute injury, and through treatment, education, and follow-up, they’re able to return to doing what they love. She’s looking forward to working at KCOA and being able to tailor care to each individual while building lasting relationships with patients.

Outside of Work

Emily is a wife and mother, and you’ll find her spending time with her husband and two young daughters. She enjoys cooking, trying new recipes and learning about Kansas City; her family recently relocated to our area to be closer to family.
