(LEAWOOD, Kan., and KANSAS CITY, Mo.) — Good news for patients and referring physicians: The physician team at Dickson-Diveley Orthopaedics has expanded.

Nicholas T. Ting, M.D., a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in adult hip and knee reconstruction and replacement, joined the orthopedic practice in January.

As a specialist in total joint surgery, Dr. Ting’s primary area of practice involves degenerative conditions of the hip and knee joints, as well as failed hip and knee replacements. In addition to hip and knee reconstruction and replacement (both primary and revision), Dr. Ting specializes in direct anterior hip replacement, and he is trained and certified to perform robotic-assisted surgery using Mako® Robotic-Arm Assisted Technology at Saint Luke’s Hospital on the Plaza in Kansas City, Mo.

“Hip and knee replacements are among the most successful procedures in medicine. I am subspecialized in the field of primary and complex hip and knee replacements, and I focus my practice on these procedures,” Dr. Ting said. “It is both my honor and privilege to help return my patients to their life’s passions, whether they are former athletes looking to return to sport, weekend warriors trying to remain healthy and active, or people hoping to play with their kids or grandkids.”

Dr. Ting also added: “I strive to make the recovery process easier, faster and less painful. I’ve had the privilege and opportunities to train and learn advanced techniques at the most renowned orthopedic institutions, and I’m happy to bring those to bear in service of the patients in Kansas City.”

Before joining Dickson-Diveley Orthopaedics, Dr. Ting specialized in Hip and Knee Reconstruction and Replacement at Midwest Orthopaedics at RUSH (of Rush University Medical Center) in Chicago, Ill. Originally a native of San Francisco, Calif., he earned his medical degree from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood, Ill. He then completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio, followed by an Adult Joint Reconstruction fellowship at OrthoCarolina Hip & Knee Center in Charlotte, N.C. Both in his residency and in his fellowship, Dr. Ting trained at two of the top orthopedic programs in the nation.

“We are very excited to welcome Dr. Ting to our practice,” said Brian Divelbiss, M.D., who is President and CEO of Dickson-Diveley Orthopaedics, as well as a hand and upper extremity surgeon. “With his background and training in joint reconstruction and replacement, as well as his commitment to excellence in orthopedic patient care, he is a great addition to our large and growing physician team.”

Dr. Ting is now seeing patients. You can request an appointment by calling 913-319-7600. And, while a referral from a primary care physician or other provider is not required, physicians can refer a patient to Dr. Ting by faxing the patient’s name, birthdate and insurance information to 913-253-1707.
