Meet Dr. Brit Moore, a nonoperative sports medicine and musculoskeletal medicine specialist. Her focus is on musculoskeletal ultrasound, orthobiologic “regenerative” medicine, and minimally invasive ultrasound guided procedures.

Dr. Moore believes in face-to-face time with patients, which allows for deeper discussions about what may be causing the symptoms and why a condition may have occurred. This helps Dr. Moore and her patients determine the best individualized management plan for them and their goals.

More About Dr. Moore

Dr. Brit Moore is a board certified physical medicine & rehabilitation physician with subspecialty training in sports medicine & musculoskeletal ultrasound.

She sees a variety of conditions, from acute injuries while at play to chronic overuse injuries. She specializes in nonoperative management of upper and lower extremity tendon, ligament, muscle, joint, and nerve injuries, as well as evaluation and management of spine pain. She is trained in performing electrodiagnostics (i.e. EMG and nerve conduction studies) for evaluation of nerve conditions. 

She is fellowship trained in musculoskeletal ultrasound, utilizing this for both diagnostic evaluative purposes and to guide procedures. Dr. Moore performs a range of procedures, from simple joint and peritendinous injections, to orthobiologic injections like platelet rich plasma and bone marrow aspirate concentrate, to advanced minimally invasive procedures like Tenex and carpal tunnel release with ultrasound guidance. 

After completing her residency and fellowship training at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, Dr. Moore was recruited to stay on staff at Mayo Clinic before coming back home to Kansas City to continue her practice. She was shaped by the multidisciplinary, patient-centered environment at Mayo Clinic, bringing the cutting edge pursuit of knowledge and technique learned at Mayo coupled with a passion to advance care to her hometown of Kansas City, a perfect match with missions laid out by Kansas City Orthopedic Alliance.

Outside of Work

When not in the office, Dr. Moore enjoys traveling, cooking, exploring new restaurants, and pursuing new fun athletic activities.
