Chris has been a part of the KCOA “family” since moving to Kansas City from Manhattan in 2008. He works alongside Doctors Gaddy, Hsing, Sharpe and Wait. Chris has a special interest in sports medicine and utilizes this passion to provide the best communication and care that he can for his patients.

More About Chris Welch
Chris grew up in Pratt, Kansas. He attended Ottawa University and attained a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. While there, Chris earned All-Conference honors playing football. Chris continued his schooling at Washburn University in Topeka and earned an Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy. Chris returned to school at Wichita State University, earning his Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies in 2004. Chris is an active member of many professional organizations including, the Kansas Academy of Physician Assistants (KAPA), the Physician Assistants in Orthopaedic Surgery (PAOS), and the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA)
Outside of Work
Chris loves to spend time with his wife and 3 children. They are very involved in supporting and uplifting members of their church community. When he has downtime, Chris enjoys watching movies and sports- Go Chiefs!
