Physicians in the Kansas City area named Danny M. Gurba, M.D., one of the “Best Doctors” in the metropolitan area, according to a survey released last week.
Best Doctors Inc., based in Boston, compiled the Best Doctors list through a peer-review survey of the medical profession. The Kansas City Business Journal published the list on September 25 in its Best Doctors section.
Dr. Gurba joined Dickson-Diveley Orthopaedics in 1985.
Before joining Dickson-Diveley Orthopaedics, he completed a fellowship in joint reconstruction at the Philadelphia Hospital and Rothman Institute in Philadelphia.
He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
Dr. Gurba earned his doctorate at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He received his bachelor of science degree at the University of Kansas.
Best Doctors accepts no compensation to list doctors in its database. It offers no pay to doctors to participate in its survey process. The survey identifies about 5 percent of doctors practicing in the United States for inclusion on the Best Doctors list. To be included in the peer-selected list, doctors must be actively engaged in practicing medicine and seeing patients.
