Our very own Dr. Scott Abraham has made a huge accomplishment!
On July 24, 2019, Dr. Abraham performed his 200th Navio-Assisted knee arthroplasty. He has worked diligently to master the craft of robotic assisted joint replacement, as he truly believes that this will become the standard of care in the future.
By staying in front of the curve, he hopes to continue to provide the best and most up-to-date care for his patients. His last 200 surgeries have been a combination of inpatient and outpatient, total and partial knee arthroplasties done at St. Joseph Medical Center and Overland Park Surgical Suites.
In doing such a significant number of surgeries, Dr. Abraham has been able to cut down the average surgical time substantially, as well as become expert in robotic assisted total joint procedures. In the picture below you will see the Navio components being utilized in the operating room.
